Alumni Testimonials

Quinton Egson, DSL, CNE, CDE (2026)

President & CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley (43 years of service)

My experience at OGS was outstanding. The coursework was intellectually challenging without being overwhelming, the professors were exceptional, and the learning environment was ideal for professionals and adult learners. What I appreciated most was that the education was not only theoretical but also highly practical and applicable to real-world leadership and research. Through my studies and research project, I gained deeper knowledge in my field, and the trip to the Library of Congress was truly life-changing, teaching me advanced research skills at a higher academic level. Another tremendous blessing was completing my doctorate debt-free, and my employer highly valued my degree, compensating me accordingly for my achievement. For anyone pursuing graduate studies that go beyond textbooks and create real personal and professional impact, I would highly recommend Omega Graduate School.

J. Lance Acree, DPhil/PhD (2025)

Lt. Col., USAF (Retired)

The Oxford method is ideally suited to equipping adult learners with world class research skills for tackling the most challenging issues, in seeking “the welfare of the city where I sent you into exile” (Jer 29:7). With three other degrees to my name, there was no other doctorate program in the US that I would have considered, and no other would have fit into my professional career and family schedule. The OGS faculty is dedicated to the classic Oxford tutorial method.

Cerita Buchanan Grayer, DSL, MSW (2025)

Head of Social Work Training and Research Centre; Consortium for Social Development and Research; The University of the West Indies Global Campus

OGS is an exemplary higher education institution for social scientists. It has been a quiet place to enhance my social research skills and grow as an academic. It is a school where your faith and your scholarship can comfortably align. Before going to OGS, I did not know that there is such a thing as Clinical Sociology. The OGS experience has expanded my horizons and strengthened my action research skills. It is a place for useful research, life changing and impactful research. I am a proud alumna of the OGS. The professors are accessible and committed to your growth and development. The tutorial method of instruction allowed for a more personal approach to learning. You are not just a number. I was impressed with the level of feedback and quick response to papers and impactful research supervision. My experience at OGS was transformational. Everyone should experience the OGS education

OGS fosters and facilitates the perfect mix of freedom and input from professors, allowing each student to fully explore and dive deep into the areas of interest, drawing them to further research. The Core system spurs progress, sharpens focus, and ensures that students have all the tools needed to complete the program.

Erik Christensen, DPhil/PhD (2025)

Pastor

The benefits of OGS have been numerous: developing friendships, being challenged to think beyond my comfort zone, and learning practical tools for effective research are a few. With that idea, a great blessing to me was being guided into the realization of what I love to study and the freedom to explore personally what interests me. I would encourage anyone desiring to pursue a PhD to consider OGS. You will not regret this decision.

If you are looking for an authentic institution where you can truly build on your skills and acquire new ones, where your faith is enhanced in the midst of rigorous studies, and where lecturers are skills appropriately to guide you, then OGS is the place to be. My own self-actualization would be one reason, but also the opportunity to inform my profession by adding to the data and providing solutions to recurring and new questions.

Truly transformative experience at Omega Graduate School!
My time at OGS was nothing short of exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an enriching and supportive graduate education. From the start, the flexibility of the program was a game-changer. The weekend and evening courses allowed me to manage my studies alongside a full-time workload and home life. The low cost made this opportunity accessible without compromising on quality. The value offered for the tuition is unmatched, making a graduate degree a realistic goal for a wider range of students. The dedication to student success is evident in the personalized tutoring available. The week-long trip to the Library of Congress provided the one-on-one support I needed to master complex topics at key research points in the program.
