Omega Graduate School is accredited by a U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting agency and authorized by the State of Tennessee to grant degrees.

Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS)

Omega Graduate School (OGS) is an accredited member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone 434.525.9539; e-mail:info@tracs.org ] having been awarded Reaffirmation II of its accredited status as a Category IV institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 24, 2023; this status is effective for ten years.

TRACS is recognized by the Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

Omega Graduate School achieved candidate status with TRACS in 2003 and maintained that status through 2008, when accredited status was achieved.  In 2013, OGS received its first reaffirmation, and in 2023, OGS received its second 10-year reaffirmation of accreditation.  During this time, Omega Graduate School has been listed in the CHEA directory of accredited higher education institutions since 2003.

TRACS is approved by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized institutional accrediting agency and appears on the DOE Secretary’s List of Approved Accrediting Agencies, which is provided in the Higher Education Directory. TRACS is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Tennessee Higher Education Commission

Annual reviews by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission have resulted in compliance since 1983.  This authorization is renewed each year and is based on standards concerning the quality of education, ethical business practices, health and safety, and fiscal responsibility. The state-approving agency has reviewed the academic program leading to the MLitt and DPhil degrees annually. Eligible veterans enrolled in master’s or doctoral studies may receive benefits. The graduate program has been approved for the training of veterans since 1985.

Omega Graduate School is an institutional member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), Washington, DC.  Omega Graduate School is a signatory of the Higher Education Transfer Alliance (HETA)  agreement.
